Let me tell you a story. There was once a girl who started blogging and her only regret was not starting sooner. SPOILER ALERT! That girl is me ;)
Here's what makes blogging the bees knees :
- The only startup cost is your hosting service, which is less than buying one latte a month.
- Demand is high for those with expertise in literally any and every area in the online world.
- You can create a long-term steady cash flow!
Yes, it takes time to get things started and you have to commit to it, but it's worth it.
If you want to make some extra money long-term, consider starting a blog. You have literally almost nothing to lose.

2. CREATE AN ONLINE COURSE
Everyone knows a lot about something.
Whether it be photography, sewing, blogging, building a vegetable garden, watercolor painting, wedding planning, or anything else, there are always other people looking to learn more about a subject that you have expertise in.
I'm working on my first online course right now, and I can't believe how quickly I've been able to fill up the modules because of everything I've learned over the years about personal finance!
I use Teachable to make my online courses because I am not tech savvy at all, and with their platform I don't have to worry about design, marketing integration, etc.
To launch a successful online course , use Teachable and start creating!
3. BABYSIT OR HOUSE SIT
Babysitting and house sitting are great ways to make extra money!

Have you ever noticed how addicted to stuff we are as Americans?
We try hard to only buy what we need and will use, but we still end up with a storage room full of stuff that we don't use!
Start selling your junk (oops I mean stuff). Really. I promise you won't miss it.
Try listing 3 things for sale online everyday until Christmas using Facebook marketplace, local swap groups, Poshmark, or any of the other selling sites/apps.
You'll be surprised at what people will pay for your junk (*ehem* stuff)!
8. WORK A SEASONAL JOB
During the holidays, retail stores, post offices, and UPS/Fedex type companies are always looking for seasonal help.
Search your local newspaper, Craiglist, Indeed, etc. for ads regarding seasonal jobs. Or, simply ask a place you think might offer seasonal work.
More than likely if they are a business that is driven by holiday sales, they'll be able to make room for you on their team!
9. SAVE YOUR CHANGE
Start a savings challenge in the weeks leading up to Christmas by setting aside all your spare change in a jar.
Since I faithfully use cash envelopes to save money, I always have spare change on me!

We often have $30-$50 worth of change saved up in a short amount of time!
10. SET UP AN ETSY SHOP
If you have a knack for creativity, consider starting an Etsy shop.
Consumers flock to Etsy every year during the holidays in search of the perfect unique gift for their special someone!
